Back to the Future Silhouettes

I had a blast making the Tim Burton silhouettes for the Burton Show last Fall. I couldn’t wait to do something similar with another theme. The Back to the Future series seemed like the obvious choice for our TIME after TIME show. The goal was to pick one character to represent each year that they traveled to in the Trilogy. Wasn’t as easy as you might think. I narrowed it down to the characters that had their life changed the most in that year. Clara Clayton for 1885 worked out good. George McFly’s entire life changed the night of the famous Hill Valley lightning storm. Marty had to represent 1985, as well as Biff representing his altered reality in the bad 1985. And Doc, well he is the ultimate futurist. I wanted to add the sky way above the Clocktower because of his famouse quote “Roads, where we’re going, we don’t need roads.” Hope you enjoy this new series of silhouettes. Postcards, Prints and Canvas will be available starting May 8th on line at our TIME after TIME collector’s preview at 8pm right here on this website. Reminder the next POPzilla show is one week from today. May 9th 6pm at Rothick Art Haus, Anaheim CA. See you there.
